Ok, I ordered one tube of this which took about 10 days to arrive. I wanted to see if it would work on a stubbly area under my chin / jaw bone where I always end up cutting myself :( Obviously if it worked there then the rest of my face shouldn't be an issue...
Attempt 1 - Applied the cream to the under chin area after not shaving for 3 days, I thought it'd maybe work better on slightly longer hairs. Left cream on for just over 4 mins and rinsed off. I was a little surprised that some hairs did actually disappear...not many though. Shaved as normal and let hair grown for another few days.
Attempt 2 - repeated as above and left cream on for 4.5 mins on the same area. As before after rinsing some hairs disappeared. The result is a pretty patchy area, it seems fairly random as to which hairs are got rid of. Shaved as normal.
Attempt 3 - It was fairly noticeable (to me) that the hair in the area I had treated previously didn't feel as bristly as usual after letting it grow for 3 days. The area is probably only 1" square under my chin. It also seemed a little patchy but to be honest I just thought the patchiness and less bristly feel was my imagination. I did the same as in attempt 1 & 2 and rinsed my face as usual, much more hair was removed on this occasion.
Attempt 4 - Same as previous attempt but, there was a distinct lack of hair growth in the teated area and what was there was definitely not as vigorous as usual. Treated the area, left for 4 mins and rinsed. All of the hair in the area with the exception of a few awkward ones were removed.
Attempt 5 - Same as before. Treated, left for 4 mins, rinsed...all gone.
Attempt 1 through 5 has taken about 2 weeks and even on the small area I have tried used 75% of the small bottle of cream. I think if I was doing my entire face then I would probably need about 4 tubes.....quite pricey. Definitely worth it though as the area is completely hair free and smoother than I have ever felt it.
Now be careful.......when I usually shave my skin is slightly darker in beard area because, well, because it is. The dark hairs are still there and that's what gives us a beardy blokey look. This cream removes the hair down to the root and consequently you end up with just a skin tone colour, no shadow. This looks unusual on a bloke as there is no indication of a beard line (as far as I can tell) and so, if you treat the entire beard area on your face I can imagine it looking unusual.
I have decided not to treat my entire face just yet as I think I would be self conscious about the complete lack of hair / stubble / shadow. I'm sure someone at work or a customer would easily spot the duncan goodhew effect.
Having said that, I am totally thrilled that this stuff actually seems to work (based on my test patch) as I honestly didn't think it would. Obviously everyone is different and others may have better or worse experiences with it but from my tests, I reckon it's brilliant.
Note - it's smelly, it tingles like any other hair removal cream, the treated area is slightly red after use but is fine the following day. The hair folicle is not completely killed and hair will start to grow again at some point in the future. Apparently regrowth will not be as strong / even as hair in untreated areas.

The area I have treated is completely clear of hair and is a smooth as a babies...lol
